Referrals were an opportunity for Busuu
The team knew that helping our happiest customers invite their friends to learn a language could be a no-brainer for revenue. It would give our customers' friends a commitment-free chance to trial a Premier subscription, plus help acquire more of the right users organically.
I wrote the words across the user journey
I partnered with CRM and product to agree our goals and messaging, then map out different referral journeys for free and Premium users. I worked closely with design to write the copy, then adjust it after a few rounds of user testing.
